We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new curriculum coming to Chabad of Cheviot Hills this fall for our Kindergarten through Grade 5 students.
Introducing… “My Jewish Treasures”!
This joyful new curriculum is all about helping your child discover the many incredible treasures of being Jewish - in our past, in our daily lives, and in the world around us!
Each week, your child will uncover another treasure that Hashem gifts us:
· diving into stories, traditions, and mitzvot that bring Judaism to life!
· creating and exploring through activities, crafts, interactive experiences, and more!
· collecting a weekly “treasure token” to fill up their very own Jewish Treasure Chest!
· and building their inner treasures, of kindness, confidence, and pride in being Jewish!
Whether your child is brand new to Hebrew School or a familiar face, “My Jewish Treasures” will engage their imagination and help them grow through excitement and discovery. Developed by CKids International, the curriculum is designed to spark wonder, build character, and help children see just how special and precious their Jewish identity is.
Our goals for our students are: to a ttain a strong sense of pride in being Jewish. Discover & explore the Torah (Bible). Gain an understanding of the traditions of Judaism . Hands-on experience & appreciation for all Jewish Holidays. Practice Hebrew skills of reading & writing. Understand basic Hebrew words. Learn basic Prayers.

Education
In a mature tree, a gash here or a torn branch there is of little or no consequence. But the smallest scratch in the seed, the slightest nick in the sapling, results in an irrevocable deformity -- in a flaw which the decades to come will deepen rather than erase.
Hence the great care and vigilance required in the education of the young. The values imparted to the child must be impeccable, free of even the slightest and most "forgivable" blemish.
