Our Vision and Goals

The Gan sees each child as a gift from G‑d. Our aim is to create a preschool environment that integrates the history and traditions of Judaism utilizing music, art, science, drama, math, literacy and other sensory activities.  The Gan welcomes each child regardless of background or affiliation. Our program is geared toward children ages 2- 4 year olds and their family.

We believe that young children learn best in a safe, nurturing environment which provides opportunities for children to discover and develop through activities which are age and individually appropriate.  We respect the competency and uniqueness of each child and our goal is to support children’s desire to be lifelong learners and help facilitate the development of creative thinkers, problem solvers, self-confident and independent beings who will grow up to be caring, happy and productive adults.

Our focus is to provide a stimulating holistic early care and education experience which promotes each child's cognitive, social/emotional, physical, linguistic, aesthetic and Jewish development.

The Curriculum is integrated in to the classroom through a thematic/ multiple intelligence approach whereby learning activities are concrete, real, and relevant.  Learning is an interactive process between the Teachers/Facilitators and the children.

Teachers/Facilitators prepare the environment and plan activities that are appropriate for the ages of the children within the group and consider the different needs, interests, and developmental levels of individual children.

Teachers/Facilitators facilitate learning by giving children opportunities to make choices about which activities and materials they will use.   Children have occasions to play and learn with other children in both small and large group activities; make choices and encounter consequences; and negotiate social conflicts using appropriate language.

Teachers/Facilitators model respect, acceptance and understanding.  Our program will encourage and nurture Jewish pride and love for Judaism
